To bring together stories that capture life histories, fluid identities, and perspectives on the city of Barcelona from migrants who have adopted it as their home. The book explores how languages and lived experiences intertwine to reveal layers of the city that escape the usual gaze, building narratives that challenge homogeneous representations.
Intraducibles brings together sixteen stories written by migrants from different countries in Latin America, presented in Catalan and Spanish in dialogue with Barcelona’s linguistic context. Through this narrative form and its symbolic graphic structure, the project invites readers to inhabit other cartographies, engage with cultural and linguistic diversity, and reflect on processes of belonging, identity, and translation.
