Intercultural awareness educational resource aimed at students in public schools in Barcelona. Through creative processes linked to their local environment, students explore the city’s cultural diversity and build new narratives about coexistence and interculturality in their neighborhoods.

Challenge:

Barcelona is a diverse city, but this reality is not always addressed critically in educational spaces. Many young people live alongside this diversity without the tools to understand or express it. The challenge was to create an educational resource that connects intercultural reflection with students’ everyday experiences.

Proposal:

The project was developed through visual arts and audiovisual creation workshops in public schools, in collaboration with teachers. Through participatory activities, students explored their relationship with the neighborhood and produced works compiled into an Intercultural Collection. The classroom thus became a space for research, collective creation, and reflection on cultural diversity and coexistence.
