Editorial Diversity in Spain is a professional meeting for dialogue and training that promotes diverse publishing in Spain, connecting writers, editors, and independent projects led by migrant and racialized people to strengthen networks and sustainable publishing practices.

Challenge:

The publishing industry continues to reproduce inequalities in access, visibility, and legitimacy, leaving migrant and racialized initiatives and voices on the margins. The challenge is to recognize itself as a sector, share professional tools, and open conversations about tensions, barriers, and opportunities to expand the presence of these voices in the book ecosystem.

Proposal:

The project brings together a professional meeting and a collaborative lab that gather editors, authors, researchers, and cultural agents. Through public conversations, workshops, and exchange spaces, tools are shared to strengthen independent publishing projects, and the Migraturas network is promoted—a mapping of migrant-led publishing initiatives. The process fosters new alliances and strategies to expand diversity in the book ecosystem.
