The Cultural Rights Forums are a line of reflection, debate, and advocacy linked to Fes! Cultura that organizes interconnected spaces to address, from different perspectives, the cultural rights of migrant and/or racialized people and the transformation of Barcelona’s cultural ecosystem.

Challenge:

Reduce the gap between the formal recognition of cultural rights and the actual conditions of participation and access to resources. The forums respond to dynamics of exclusion, institutional racism, and unequal recognition. The challenge is to transform shared diagnoses into concrete proposals that are useful for the cultural sector and public policies.

Proposal:

They are developed as a series of complementary spaces for dialogue and co-design: “Cultural Rights: How and For Whom?” drives a process that culminates in 12 advocacy proposals; “Popular Culture: Whose?” opens a public debate within the Festival #AccióMigrant to highlight conflicts, appropriations, and non-hegemonic practices; and “Fes! Cultura / Fem Circuits” brings together artists, programmers, and institutions to map barriers and design actions toward fairer, more representative, and sustainable circuits.
