Fes! Cultura is a cultural project incubator with social impact that promotes the participation of diverse individuals and collectives in the creation of transformative cultural initiatives. From Connectats Cooperative, we run this program as a space for training, creation, and mentorship aimed at artists and cultural practitioners from diverse backgrounds and trajectories.
One of the key initiatives we develop each year within the framework of Fes! Cultura is the Cultural Projects Laboratory, a training pathway designed to strengthen the professional skills of those leading initiatives in the fields of arts, creativity, and culture. The Laboratory combines theoretical and practical sessions focused on facilitating the design, funding, management, and sustainability of cultural projects with impact.
The training program is structured into modules that address essential topics such as mapping the local cultural ecosystem, project design from a cultural rights perspective, strategies for economic sustainability, legal and fiscal frameworks, cultural communication, and impact evaluation. The methodological approach is active, participatory, and tailored to the realities of the participants.
The Laboratory is especially aimed at migrant and/or racialized artists and cultural professionals living in Catalonia who seek to strengthen their initiatives, build networks, and position themselves within the Catalan cultural landscape. Throughout the process, the program fosters knowledge exchange, personalized mentorship, and community-building among participants, trainers, and local cultural agents.
The pathway concludes with a project presentation session, where each participant shares their proposal with the group and invited professionals, creating an opportunity to showcase their work and envision future paths for development and collaboration.
