Bcn-SanSalvador is a project that promotes exchange about cultural entrepreneurship among young people in Barcelona and San Salvador (El Salvador).
In 2012 Ayuda en Acción, with the support of the Barcelona City Council and collaboration of Connectats, began the international cooperation project “Carpa Lúdica” in the city of San Salvador, El Salvador. The initiative focuses on the rehabilitation of a permanent place in the historic center of San Salvador for the development of activities related with visual and scenic arts and addressed to the youth. It also promotes the creation of cultural enterprises as both a social and professional alternative.
The aim is to offer a social and cultural development platform, which in addition to generating creative ideas, would treat youth violence through artistic activities.
With the goal of an effective two-way communication, the website Bcn-SanSalvador (Bcn-SanSalvador.com) is launched, an online communication strategy that enables the spreading of the work of young people from the two cities, promoting exchange and disclosing their ideas and views on the key issues of the project. As part of the exchange process, a group of young people from each city travels to the other (Barcelona-San Salvador, San Salvador-Barcelona) to lay the foundations for collaboration and pool the activities.
